The Seneca Sting (0-8) fell to the Fanshawe Falcons (4-4) 9-3 in the second game of their doubleheader.

For the second straight game against the Falcons, the Sting opened the scoring. In the bottom of the first inning, Grace Michauville put the ball in play, reaching on a fielder's choice while Danielle Pound scored from third base.

The Falcons evened the scoring in the second inning. Morgan Lowry drilled a Chantal Gendron pitch to left field. With the ball bouncing off the wall, Danni Smith crossed home plate while Lowry finished at third base with a triple.

The Falcons took the lead in the third inning. With bases loaded and no outs, Gendron was able to get a force out at home followed by a pop out to Namnama at shortstop. Ali Bergman ensured the Falcons would not miss out on their opportunity, driving a ball to left field to score Nichole Erb and Kennedi Roth.

Unfazed by the deficit, the Sting struck base in the fourth inning. Michauville scored on a single by Kiara Thomas before Thomas eventually tied the game on a two-out single to right field off the bat of Alik Derderian.

The Falcons responded in bunches, scoring three runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings to put the game out of reach.

Thomas led the Sting at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a run and RBI. Kiara Saito went 2-for-3 while Pound and Derderian each had a hit.

Lowry went 3-for-4 for the Falcons while adding 3 RBIs. Roth scored 3 runs while batting 3-for-4 with an RBI. Sarah Fuller and Erb each finished with a pair of hits.

Gendron allowed 9 runs (5 earned) on 13 hits, 1 walk and 5 strikeouts in a complete game for the Sting. Andrea Webster picked up the win for the Falcons, allowed 3 runs (2 earned), 5 hits and 4 strikeouts over four innings. Lowry pitched three scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 6.
