The Seneca Sting opened the home schedule with a convincing 76-59 win over the Durham Lords.
Coming off a season which saw the Sting fall in an OCAA Crossover, the revamped Sting, returning just one player, thoroughly dominated the Lords from the opening tip.
The Sting led 17-8 after the first quarter and 40-26 at the half.
A big third quarter allowed the Sting to cruise to the final buzzer for a 2-0 start to the season.
Khalil Miller paced the Sting with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Molik Young added 16 points and Hugh Taylor added 10 points. Yusuf Ali had a game-high 8 assists.
Julian Hinckson Jr led the Lords with 14 points. Jeremiah Braham added 13 points and Funsho Dimeji finished with 12 points. Fitoi Mabanza led the Lords with 7 rebounds.
