Sting Squeeze Out Another Win

The Seneca Sting had their lead cut to four in the 4th quarter, but edged out a 63-60 win over the La Cite Coyotes.

The Sting added to their lead in the second quarter, holding the Coyotes to just eight points as they took a 32-20 lead into the half.

The Coyotes narrowed the Sting lead to eight points at 45-37 thanks to a late third quarter run.

In the fourth quarter, the Coyotes cut the Sting lead to four at 52-48 thanks to back-to-back three pointers, but Yusuf Ali answered with a three pointer of his own to give the Sting some breathing room.

The Coyotes closed to 62-60 with 4 seconds remaining and looked for a final possession tying basket. Following a missed second free throw by Ali, the Sting were able to secure a jump ball with the possession arrow in their favour to close out the game.
