The Seneca Sting won their seventh straight game to open the season, defeating the Loyalist Lancers 92-52.

The Sting used a suffocating defense and efficient offense to swarm the Lancers. While producing more than twenty points in each of the first two quarters (22 and 27), the Sting held the Lancers to single-digits in each of the first two quarters (7 and 9), holding a commanding 49-16 lead at halftime.

Khalil Miller recorded a double-double in the first half alone, scoring 10 points and securing 10 rebounds to go along with 3 blocks. Daniel Wright (9 points), Trevor Hutton (8 points) and Yusuf Ali (7 points, 4 assists) contributed to the lead. The Sting shot 44% in the first half while holding the Lancers to just 23%. One of the biggest reasons for the lead was the advantage in the paint where the Sting held a 33-18 lead in rebounds.

The Lancers offense picked up in the second half, but they were unable to shut down the Sting. The Sting outscored the Lancers 44-36 in the second half en route to the victory.

Miller finished with a game-high 20 points and 18 rebounds along with 5 blocks. Wright added 15 points and 7 rebounds while Hutton also reached double-figures with 14 points. Ali contibuted 9 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds.

Williamson Dorelien led the Lancers with 12 points while Christopher Asomani recorded 9 points and 6 rebounds.

The Sting shot 44% from the floor while the Lancers improved to 33%. The Sting outrebounded the Lancers 60-33 and had six fewer turnovers (17-11).
