Humber's Record-Breaking Pitching Stifles Sting
The Seneca Sting ran into a dominant pitcher against the Humber Hawks, falling in the second game 8-1. The Hawks scored four runs in the first inning, one in the second and a pair of runs in the third to take a commanding 7-0 lead. The Sting scored their lone run in the third inning while the Hawks completed the scoring in the fifth inning.
- Humber pitcher Brandon Deans set an OCAA record with 16 strikeouts
- The Hawks set an OCAA record with 19 team strikeouts in the game
- The Hawks out hit the Sting 11-3
- Austin Hagerman had two of the Stings' three hits and scored the lone run
- Hagerman's two hits were for a double and triple
- Melvin Pujols and Evan Bolieau each walked twice as Bolieau reached base three times
- The Sting committed five errors while the Hawks were perfect defensively
