Metcalfe-Simiana Nets Winner for Sting

The Seneca Sting, the OCAA champions from North York, Ontario, used a strong second half to earn the win over the UKC Blue Devils on Wednesday in National quarter-final action.

A highly competitive match entered the half-time break in a scoreless tie.

The Sting took the lead in the 64’ when Faith Metcalfe-Simiana found the back of the net, before Jessica Shears jumped on a loose ball in the 86’ and doubled their lead to 2-0.

After an even first half, Seneca found their groove in the second half, controlling the play as UKC struggled to create scoring chances.

The 4Imprint Players of the Match were Faith Metcalfe-Simiana, from Seneca, and Kennedy MacKill, from UKC.
