Why Women Should Lift

Listen up ladies!  Increasing and maintaining adequate muscle mass is one of the best ways to keep body fat at bay, improve overall fitness and find some mood-boosting confidence…particularly as we age!  Resistance training (or weight training) is the best way to build muscle mass.  Studies show the majority of women that workout are still focusing on cardiovascular exercise (think running) vs. weight training.

Read on to find out why weight training just might be the missing puzzle piece to your overall self-care regime. Keep running for heart health, but maybe add in 2-3 days/week of weight training…your body will thank you!
