Mahajan & Shaikh Capture National Championship

Saatvik Mahajan & Faizan Shaikh completed a perfect CCAA Championship, winning the national championship in three sets.

The duo suffered their first setback of the championship, dropping the first set 21-17 to the ACAA champions.

Mahajan and Shaikh rebounded in the second set, toughing out a 21-18 set which saw the Sting take an 11-7 lead at the interval before the ACAA stormed back to tie the set at sixteen.

The eventual national champions played their best set of the season in the third set, jumping all over their opponents 11-6 at the interval. The Sting went on a 6-2 run to take a commanding 17-8 lead. On match point, Mahajan's smash handcuffed their opponents, who were unable to return the powerful shot. As Mahajan put his arms up in celebration, Shaikh, elated with the accomplishment fell to the floor in disbelief at the moment.

Mahajan and Shaikh captured Seneca's sixteen National Championship and first since Men's Basketball in 2018.
