Sting Celebrate Grads Prior to Final Home Games

The Seneca Sting (0-21) dropped the opening game against the Conestoga Condors (10-9) 4-0.

The Condors opened the scoring in the third inning. Sarah Lisecki singled to right field, driving home Cassey Leader and Emily Brooke with both runs coming unearned.

Following a Condors run in the fourth inning, Brooke tripled to center field, socring Emily Lush who had previously reached on an error to complete the scoring.

Prior to the game, Alik Derderian (5th year), Chantal Gendron (3rd year), Jasmin Namnama (3rd year) and Leeanne Delorme (2nd year) were recognized as graduating student-athletes playing their final home games.

Kiara Saito and Delorme each had a hit for the Sting while Danielle Pound and Derderian each reached on walks.

Brooke led the Condors with a pair of hits, a run and an RBI while Lisecki and Lush had one hit each.

Lush picked up the win, allowing 2 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in 7 innings. Gendron allowed 4 runs (0 earned), 4 hits and a strikeout in a complete game.
