Sting Storm Back for Win

Down 2-1 in the second half, the Seneca Sting scored three unanswered goals to win 4-2 over the Fleming Knights.

Marcus McGlynn opened the scoring in the 45' for his first collegiate goal.

In the 54', Kobe Vieira struck for the Knights to even the match. Mike Martinez put the Knights ahead in the 73' when his shot beat Sting goal keeper Khedar Caesar-Thompson between the legs on a point-blank opportunity.

Just two minutes later, Hussein Robah converted a penalty kick, finding the lower right corner of the net off his left foot for the equalizer. Less than two minutes later, Josh Persaud struck in the 77' to put the the Sting ahead 3-2. Jacob Bauer completed the scoring in the 82' on a header to clinch the victory.

The Sting attempted 21 shots, hitting the target 8 times. The Knights attempted 12 shots with 7 hitting the target. The Sting held a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
