Sting Fall to Hawks in OCAA Semi-Final

The Seneca Sting fell to the Humber Hawks 2-1 in the OCAA Championship semi-final and will now play for a bronze medal.

Cale Loughrey opened the scoring in the 19th minute to put the Sting up 1-0. The Hawks evened the scoring in the 29th minute before scoring the game winner in the 58th minute.

Anthony Guerreri played a fantastic match in goal, making 10 saves to provide the Sting with a chance to advance to the OCAA Championship Gold medal match for the first time since 2012.

The Sting will play tomorrow against the Sheridan Bruins at 12:00pm in the Bronze medal match, seeking their first medal since 2012 when the team captured silver and advanced to the CCAA National Championship.
