Sting Swept by Panthers

The Seneca Sting (4-12) fell in straight sets to the Canadore Panthers (13-3) 25-12, 25-11, 25-11 in The Hive.

The match was all Panthers from the opening serve. The Panthers held a distinct height advantage at the net, leading to a 38-14 advantage in kills.

Quarterbacking the Panthers offense was setter Ashlyn Kadlecik, who finished with 28 assists to go along with 6 kills and 9 digs. On the opposite side of the net, Sting setter Alba Martinez did her best to keep the Sting competitive, finishing with 12 assists and 10 digs.

Zoe Rath and Gabrielle Wicks each had 4 kills for the Sting while Zeniah Pinnock added 3 kills and a team-high 13 digs.

Jess Venhuizen led the Panthers offensively with 11 kills to go along with a team-high 10 digs. Sarah Grassie and Kristine Ledger matched Kadlecik's 6 kills while Ledger also added 4 aces.
