Sting Sweep Knights in Home Finale

The Seneca Sting (5-12) had their most dominant home performance of the season, sweeping the Fleming Knights (0-17) 25-19, 25-11, 25-13.

The two teams played an even opening set with the Sting clinging to narrow lead. A five-point outburst broke open the set late as the Sting pulled away by six points.

The final two sets saw the Sting play excellent volleyball. With Alba Martinez at the helm, the Sting distributed their offense through Zeniah Pinnock, Gabrielle Wicks and Zoe Rath. The trio combined for 23 of the Sting's 28 kills, led by Pinnock with nine. Martinez finished with 19 assists as the Sting finished with a 43.6% kill percentage.

Prior to the match, the Sting recognized four graduating student-athletes who had each played two seasons with the team. Recognized were Rios, Rath, Valdez and Elizabeth Chow who completed her studies in December.
