The West Division Champion Fanshawe Falcons moved one step closer to an OCAA Championship, sweeping the Trent Excalibur 25-14, 25-20, 25-21.

The match was never in question for the nationally ranked Falcons (number two) as they executed their game plan from the match's opening serve.

A clear advantage at the net, the Falcons had a team attack percentage of .369 compared to the Excalibur's .120. Defensively, the Falcons held a 36-28 advantage in team digs as they were led by a balanced attack.

Nate Van Camp had a team-high 8 kills for the Falcons along with 8 digs. James Jackson recorded 7 kills and 7 digs while Derek Braun recorded 7 kills. OCAA Rookie of the Year Sebastian Lethbridge had 31 assists.

The Excalibur were led by OCAA East All-Star Christian Zimmer who had 7 kills. Jacob Bothen was next with 5 kills. Nate Koopman had a team-high 7 digs to go along with Alex Campagnola's 6 digs and 19 assists.

The Falcons advance to the OCAA semi-final where they will face the winner of Seneca and Sheridan Friday at 8:00pm. The Excalibur move to the Consolation bracket where they will face the loser of the Seneca/Sheridan match-up, Friday at 3:00pm.
