Construction Continues at King & Newnham

Construction continues to progress at King Campus and Newnham Campus on facility builds and upgrades.

Framing continues on the construction site which will become the new home for Athletics and Recreation at King Campus. The new facility will include a double gymnasium, state-of-the-art Fitness Centre, multi-purpose space and a climbing wall. In addition, there will be ample information monitors and accessibility throughout the facility.

The recreation centre at King Campus is scheduled to open in January 2018.

At Newnham Campus, considerable progress is being made on transforming the Soccer/Softball Field from natural grass to artificial turf. The turf will cover the entire area that was previously grass inside the fenced area. The dirt infield will remain natural.

The project is scheduled to be completed for the Fall 2017 with regularly scheduled varsity games.

In addition to the turf field will be a dome which will cover a large portion of the soccer pitch. The dome will be erected in mid-November and will come down in early Spring.
