Glenn Moves on to UPEI

After two successful seasons with the Seneca Sting, Darrell Glenn has announced that he is stepping down as Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball team.

Glenn joined the Sting with extensive experience in the intercollegiate environment, both as an assistant and head coach.

His impact on the Sting was immediate, changing the culture and holding players accountable to development on the court and commitment to academics.

Jason Kerswill, Seneca's Manager of Athletics, Recreation & Sports Centre Operations praised the impact Glenn had in his two seasons not only on the student-athletes, but also the Men's Basketball program as a whole.

“Under Darrell’s leadership the Sting grew into an OCAA contender, through his steadfast commitment to excellence on and off the court.”

Glenn, who compiled a record of 26-14 during his two seasons, will be returning to his alma mater, the University of Prince Edward Island where he will be the Men’s Basketball Head Coach.

Speaking on behalf of all the students and staff at Seneca, Kerswill wished Glenn nothing but success as Glenn enters the next chapter of his coaching career.

“On behalf of the entire Sting family we wish Darrell and his family all the best in their move to Charlottetown.”

The search for a new Head Coach is underway.  Interested candidates can send their resume and cover letter to Jason Kerswill, Manager, Athletics, Recreation & Sports Centre Operations at Jason.Kerswill@senecacollege.ca.
