Kerswill Elected OCAA President

Jason Kerswill, Manager of Athletics, Recreation & Sports Centre Operations was elected President of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association at the Annual General Meetings.

Kerswill will lead the Senior Leadership Council, formerly known as the Executive Committee. Other roles within the council are Past President, 1st VP-CCAA, VP Programs, VP Finance, VP Marketing and VP OCR (formerly OCCCR).

The two year term will see Kerswill guide the OCAA under a new governance structure where the association will report to a Board of Governors for the first time. Kerswill will also represent the OCAA at the national level and oversee the development of a new strategic plan for the association.

Linda Stapleton, Director of Sport & Recreation at Seneca has full confidence in Kerswill representing Seneca and the OCAA.

Kerswill's presidency began at the conclusion of the AGM on May 4 and will serve in the position until the 2019 AGM, at which time he will move into the Past President role.
