Liu, Chooprawad, Tso Capture Athlete of the Year

Tessa Liu, Akara Chooprawad and Anthony Tso were named Seneca Sting Athlete of the Year winners for the 2021-2022 season at the second virtual Varsity Awards Recognition Wednesday night.

Liu (Badminton) captured both an OCAA and CCAA championship to cap an undefeated season. Liu was named OCAA Women's Badminton Player of the Year as well as a CCAA All-Canadian while helping the Sting capture the OCAA Women's Badminton team championship.

The Co-Male Athletes of the Year were awarded to the Men's Doubles pair of Chooprawad and Tso (Badminton). Chooprawad and Tso captured the OCAA Gold Medal, OCAA All-Star recognition and the CCAA National Championship while also helping the Sting capture a share of the OCAA Men's Badminton team championship.

Rookie of the Year distinction went to Dapasha Prabhjot (Badminton) and Kunal Sokar (Badminton).
