Sting Fall to Lancers to End Season

The Seneca Sting fell to the Loyalist Lancers 33-19 at the OCAA Championship to finish in sixth place for the season.

OCAA All-Star Madison Ayres led the Sting with nine points following a try and a pair of converts. Shania Bromfield and Julianna Ye each added a try as the Sting had their biggest offensive game of the season.

The Lancers received a pair of tries from Daija Thompson and Elayna Reid while Olivia Cook also added a try. Hannah Bender finished with four converts for the Lancers.

Key Stat: This marks the first time in the five year history of Women's Rugby Sevens that Seneca has not won a medal (three bronze, one gold).
