Sting Prepare for OCAA Championship

The women's and men's indoor soccer teams will compete at the OCAA Championship March 9-10 at the Ontario Soccer Centre.

The women enter as winners of their pool (3-0-1) at the OCAA Regional. The Sting defeated the Fanshawe Falcons (1-0), Sheridan Bruins (3-1), Lambton Lions (5-0) and played the Redeemer Royals to a draw (2-2). The Sting are the defending OCAA champions having defeated the Humber Hawks in penalty kicks.

The men finished in a three-way tie for first in their pool (3-1-0) at the OCAA Regional along with the Conestoga Condors and Fanshawe Falcons. The Sting collected victories over Fanshawe (3-1), Redeemer (6-4) and Lambton (6-0) with their lone set-back coming against Conestoga (1-0). The Sting are seeking their first OCAA Championship since 1999-2000 and their first OCAA medal since the 2011-2012 season (silver).

The championship takes place March 9-10.
