Tso/Shah Capture National Bronze

Anthony Tso and Kevin Shah captured a bronze medal at the CCAA National Badminton Championships in Truro, N.S.

The men's doubles team defeated the TKU Eagles 21-19, 21-8 to complete the championship 4-3. Tso and Shah finished the round robin in third (3-2), but dropped their semi-final match to the UKC Blue Devils 22-20, 27-29, 21-15. This is the third consecutive season where the Sting have captured a medal in men's doubles. The previous two seasons (2019-20 and 2021-22), the Sting catpured national championships including Tso's last season with partner Akara Chooprawad.

In women's singles, All-Canadian Moti Shams finished in fourth place. Shams fell in the semi-final to the eventual national champion from the UKC Blue Devils 21-7, 21-2 and then dropped the bronze medal match 17-21, 21-18, 21-15 to the Conestoga Condors. Shams finished the championship 2-5.
