Cleghorn's Hat Trick Starts Sting Season Off Right

Tyler Cleghorn scored a hat trick for the Seneca Sting as the team opened the season with a 5-0 win over Fleming.

The second year forward scored a pair of goals in the opening seven minutes of the game (3' and 7') which quickly set the tone for the game. The early pressure provided the Sting with confidence as the team outshot the Knights 18-3 and held a 12-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Rashad Griffith made it 3-0 for the Sting in the 30th minute on an unassisted marker. It was the first goal scored by Griffith since scoring against Humber on October 2, 2021.

First year Jahzeel Narona scored his first for the Sting in the 50th minute after receiving a pass from Joshua Alegria. Cleghorn completed the scoring, and his hat trick, in the 64th minute.

Sting goalkeeper Anthony Gurrieri was perfect in goal, stopping all three shots faced.
