Cool Bats Sink Sting

The Seneca Sting recorded just three hits, falling to the Fanshawe Falcons 11-3 in the first game of their double header. The Falcons opened the scoring with four runs in the top of the first inning, but the Sting responded in the bottom half with two runs. The Falcons added three runs in the second and two more in the fourth to blow the game wide open.

  • The Falcons had 16 hits as a team while the Sting recorded just three
  • The Sting committed four errors which resulted in five unearned runs
  • Jenna McLean hit a grand slam when her hit eluded a diving Sting outfielder
  • River Johnston had two RBIs in the game and now leads the team with 10 through five games
  • Caity Allen had her fifth extra base hit (three doubles, one triple, one home run)

The Sting (1-4) and Falcons (6-1) play the second game of their double header. The Sting travel to play the Conestoga Condors (2-4) on Sunday, September 18 at 1:00 and 3:00 PM at Budd Park.
