Sting Falter Later Against Falcons

The Seneca Sting allowed five runs in the seventh inning, ending their hopes for a comeback in a 7-1 defeat against the Fanshawe Falcons. The Falcons struck first, scoring a run in both the fourth and fifth inning. Jenna McLean hit a two-run home run to provide the Falcons with breathing room before the team added three more runs in the top of the seventh. Chloe Ferko scored the lone run for the Sting in the bottom of the seventh inning when Cassidy Warner doubled to rightfield. 

  • The Sting were held to two hits in the game while the Falcons had 12 hits
  • Falcons pitcher Morgan Lowry had 13 strikeouts in a complete game win
  • Fanshawe's Kennedi Roth was 3-for-4 with two runs scored

The Sting (1-5) travel to play the Conestoga Condors (2-4) on Sunday, September 18 at 1:00 and 3:00 PM at Budd Park.
