Sting Strike Early and Often

The Seneca Sting scored four goals in the opening 26 minutes to defeat the Centennial Colt 8-0. Michael Pelligrini scored in the 9th, 10th and 26th minute while Alex Lewis (21st minute) aided in the early attack. Adam Othman scored his first of the season in the 39th minute to complete a dominant first half.

Lewis scored his second of the match in the 53rd minute followed by Francisco Thomas Cerros' goal in the 67th minute. Imran Abdulatif completed the scoring in the 82nd minute.

  • Pelligrini's hat trick along with an assist moved him into second on the team in scoring (seven points)
  • The five goals scored in the first half matched the team's total in their first game of the season (versus Fleming)
  • Sting goalkeeper Anthony Gurrieri made three saves for his second consecutive shutout
  • Seneca held a 30-7 advantage in shot attempts
  • Seneca had nine corner kicks to two for Centennial
  • Each team missed a penalty kick with both missing the net
