Sting Comeback Falls Short
The Seneca Sting dug themselves a hole early, but their comeback effort came up short against the Conestoga Condors, falling 8-6. The Sting opened the scoring with three runs in the top half of the first inning. The Condors responded with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning and took a commanding lead with six runs in the second inning. The Sting narrowed the gap with a trio of runs in the fourth inning, but could not get any closer.
- Caity Allen had three hits and scored a pair of runs for the Sting
- Alexia Koitsopoulos scored two runs for the Sting, finishing with a hit and a pair of walks
- Jaidyn Wandelt was 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI
- Cassidy Warner had a pair of hits and an RBI
- The Sting committed five errors to two for the Condors
- The Condors outhit the Sting 14-9
The Sting (1-6) and Condors (3-4) play the second game of their double header. The Sting host the Mohawk Mountaineers (1-7) on Wednesday, September 21 at 6:00 and 8:00 PM at Newnham Field.
