Sting Let Game Slip Away Late

The Seneca Sting saw their chances to end a five-game losing streak slip away late, falling to the Conestoga Condors 10-0 in six innings. The Condors scored a run in both the third and fifth inning before exploding for eight runs in the sixth inning to close out the game.

• The Sting were held to three hits in the game
• For the second consecutive game, the Condors committed two errors while the Sting committed eight errors
• The Condors outhit the Sting 14-3
• Alexia Koitsopoulos, River Johnston and Avery Thomson each had a hit for the Sting
• Alyssa Van Der Werf struck out three batters and credited with just four earned runs in the game

The Sting (1-7) host the Mohawk Mountaineers (1-7) on Wednesday, September 21 at 6:00 and 8:00 PM at Newnham Field.
