Humber's Record-Breaking Pitching Stifles Sting

 

The Seneca Sting ran into a dominant pitcher against the Humber Hawks, falling in the second game 8-1. The Hawks scored four runs in the first inning, one in the second and a pair of runs in the third to take a commanding 7-0 lead. The Sting scored their lone run in the third inning while the Hawks completed the scoring in the fifth inning.

  • The Hawks set an OCAA record with 19 team strikeouts in the game

  • Austin Hagerman had two of the Stings' three hits and scored the lone run

  • The Sting committed five errors while the Hawks were perfect defensively
