Late Rally Comes Up Short

The Seneca Sting had the tying run on base, but were unable to complete their comeback, falling to the Fanshawe Falcons 4-2. Through five innings, the game remained scoreless, but the Falcons finally broke through in the top of the sixth inning. Faris Adamou singled with bases loaded to score a pair of runs. Connor Smith drove in a pair of runs as well, hitting a single to give the Falcons a 4-0 lead. The Sting loaded the bases in the sixth inning with one out, but were unable to get on the board. In the seventh inning, the Sting once again loaded the bases where Austin Hagerman came home on an error. Tyler Hill scored one batter later, also on an error, but a game-ending strikeout halted the comeback attempted.

The Sting (2-7) and Falcons (7-2) play the second game of their double header. The Sting travel to play the St. Clair Saints (5-1) on Friday, September 30 at 5:00 and 7:30 PM at Lacasse Park.
