Offense Stalls as Sting Are Swept
The Seneca Sting bats only had three hits in a losing effort against the Fanshawe Falcons 7-1. The teams battled to a 1-1 tie after three innings, but the Falcons scored a trio of runs to take the lead in the fourth inning. After scoring a run in the fifth inning, the Falcons completed the scoring in the sixth inning with a pair of runs.

- The Falcons produced seven runs on just five hits
- The Falcons had five stolen bases while the Sting had three
- Three Sting errors led to three unearned runs against starting pitcher Caleb Battye
- Falcons relief pitcher Connor Stapleford had five strikeouts in just three innings pitched
- AJ Rowe had two of the Sting hits
- Austin Hagerman scored the lone Sting run when the throw to third on a stolen base attempt got past the third baseman and Hagerman quickly went home
The Sting (2-8) travel to play the St. Clair Saints (5-1) on Friday, September 30 at 5:00 and 7:30 PM at Lacasse Park.
