Offense Stalls as Sting Are Swept

The Seneca Sting bats only had three hits in a losing effort against the Fanshawe Falcons 7-1. The teams battled to a 1-1 tie after three innings, but the Falcons scored a trio of runs to take the lead in the fourth inning. After scoring a run in the fifth inning, the Falcons completed the scoring in the sixth inning with a pair of runs.

• Three Sting errors led to three unearned runs against starting pitcher Caleb Battye
• Falcons relief pitcher Connor Stapleford had five strikeouts in just three innings pitched
• AJ Rowe had two of the Sting hits
• Austin Hagerman scored the lone Sting run when the throw to third on a stolen base attempt got past the third baseman and Hagerman quickly went home
