Sting Overwhelmed by Division-Leading Saints

The Seneca Sting knew they would be in tough against the division-leading St. Clair Saints, falling 12-0 in five innings. The Saints opened the scoring in the top of the first inning when Amy Claydon singled home two runs. The Saints added six runs in the fourth inning and four more in the fifth to complete the scoring.

  • Seneca's Cassidy Warner had a multi-hit game (2-for-2)
  • Alexia Koitsopoulos and Taylor Stewart each had one hit for the Sting
  • All three pitchers in the game recorded at least one hit (Stewart, Claydon, Rya Cowan)
  • Stewart recorded the lone stolen base for the Sting
  • There was just one strikeout in the entire game (Seneca)
  • The Sting were outhit 14-4 and committed four errors

The Sting (5-12) will host the Humber Hawks (12-5) on Sunday, October 2 at 4:00 PM at Newnham Field.
