Patras, Milot, Mbaya Kongolo Named OCAA Volleyball All-Stars

Mikyla Patras and Alexa Milot have each been named an Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Women's Volleyball East Division First Team All-Star for the 2024-25 season while Baufy Mbaya Kongolo has been named an OCAA Men's Volleyball East Division Second Team All-Star.

Patras (Stony Plain, AB | Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology), a second-year left side hitter led the Sting offensively during the 2024-25 season. Patras recorded 229 kills and averaged 3.58 kills per set, both second overall in the OCAA. In addition to her offense at the net, Patras led the Sting with 40 service aces and was third on the team in digs with 127.

Milot (Blackfalds, AB | Fitness and Health Promotion) was recognized for the second consecutive year, having previously been named to the all-rookie team and a second team all-star following the 2023-24 season. The second-year middle finished the season with 99 kills which was third on the team and second in blocks with 16.

Mbaya Kongolo (Brampton | Business) was a pleasant surprise in his first season with the Sting. The third year middle nearly doubled the offense from the next closest team member, finishing with 204 kills and a team-high 29 blocks. Mbaya Kongolo's kills and kills per set (3.14) placed him in the top ten in the OCAA while narrowly missing out on the top ten in blocks.
