Alexis Cordeiro scored in the 72nd minute as the Seneca Sting defeated the Sheridan Bruins 2-1 to advance to the OCAA Championship gold medal match.

Yoana Peralta opened the scoring for the Sting in the 14th minute, taking a beautiful touch from Marlene Siwula before driving home the opening goal.

Jessica Jagdeo evened the match for the Bruins in the 66th minute. Jagdeo beat the Sting goalkeeper to the bottom left corner on a penalty kick which was awarded following a hand ball in the box.

Cordeiro's winning goal was her third of the post-season and 14th on the season.
